Lesson Plan 2 "Bats" is a science inquiry unit created by Ms. Delancy and the 1997/98
Avocado Elementary's kindergarten/first grade magnet class. It is geared for
primary children who have a lot of motivation but short attention spans. This project explored the students' senses as they got to see "real live bats", hear the
echolocation sounds of bats via the internet, and feel sound waves generated by self-made sound conductors.
